IRRSA Took Part in the Initiative “The Refugees in Bulgaria and the Responsibility of Today’s Generation”

bejanci3On 7th March 6 representatives of IRRSA (Violeta Ampova, Bilyana Krusteva, Anina Yovkova, Georgi Arbov, Georgi Vulev and Dimitar Cherkezov) took part in the MEP Marusya Lyubcheva’s initiative “The refugees in Bulgaria and the responsibility of today’s generation”. They were selected along with 10 other people by a special essay contest on the topic “What is the biggest challenge, related to the refugees, that Bulgaria faces?” Още

Youth Round Table ‘The Balkans in the XXI century – Bulgaria and the Regional Cooperation’

DSC_0249Round table on the Balkan regional cooperation took place at the University of National and World Economy on 13th March. This year the event was named ‘The Balkans in the XXI century – Bulgaria and the Regional Cooperation’. It was organized for a second consecutive year and promises to become a traditional event in the IRRSA’s schedule. During the process of realization of the event IRRSA collaborated with ‘Students Diplomatic Club’, ‘Bulgarian Diplomatic Society’ and ‘National Association for International Relations’. The 3rd Edition of The International Students’ Day

DSC_00550On 12th March for third consecutive year was held the „International Students’ Day“ in UNWE. Dozens of international and ERASMUS students, who have chosen Bulgaria and UNWE for continuing their education were gathered together in the Scientific Council Hall. Още

IRRSA representatives in Strasbourg

kristalinagThe Information Office of the European Parliament in Bulgaria marks the Day of Europe with the publication of a newspaper, written by students, for the third year in a row. The candidates had to write an essay on one of the following topics: „The election for European parliament. This time it will be different“ or „The election for European parliament. My voice is important“. Over 100 people submitted their essays and 16 were chosen to participate. Among these 16 were the members of IRRSA Stanislava Damyanova (alumni member) and Dimitar Cherkezov. Meeting with the ambassador of Greece in Bulgaria

The event was organized by the Bulgarian diplomatic society, the National international relations association and the Embassy of the Hellenic Republic in Bulgaria. A Discussion with Her Excellency Latifa Aharbash, ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in Bulgaria

She used to hold very respectful positions in her past – rector of the High journalism institute, general director of the Moroccan National radio and National foreign affairs and communications secretary. The event was attended by a lot of students from different universities in Sofia and the subject was: „Morocco’s path: Evolution and not a revolution“. Още

UN Model: The conflict in Syria

DSC01729On the 31st of November and the 1st of December in the „Nauchni saveti“ hall in the UNWE a simulation of the UN Security Council for the conflict in Syria took place. The event, organized by IRRSA and the „United nations association of Bulgaria“, gathered 28 students from several universities for debates. Two of the delegates were still students in the 12th grade and made their first steps in the field of international relations.

The purpose of the simulation was to make the operating principles of the UN more known to the participants. As well as the Permanent members of the UN’s Security Council (the USA, Great Britain, France, PRC and the Russian federation) there were also representatives for the ten non-permanent members up to this moment: Australia, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Guatemala, Luxemburg, Morocco, Pakistan, Republic Korea, Ruanda and the Tongan republic. The counties were represented by two people, all of which had the chance to feel as a diplomat from the highest levels. Още
