The International Students’ Day (ISD) took place on the 12th of March 2015. The event was organized by the International Relations Research Students Association (IRRSA), the Students Council and the Centre for mobility at the University of National and World Economy, Sofia.
The deputy rector of the UNWE prof. Ognyan Simeonov had the opening speech. Many international students who study at the university or have their Erasmus+ program during this semester, as well as many Bulgarian students who have had their Erasmus+ program abroad, participated in the event.
The organizers’ team had prepared special quiz for the international students in order to test their knowledge about Bulgaria. Anina Yovkova presented some interesting facts about history and culture.
The second part of the event was devoted to the Erasmus+ program. Raminta Balkite from Lithuania told about her impressions from Bulgaria and their life in Sofia. Viliana Uzunova from Bulgaria told everybody her experience during her Erasmus+ in Prague, Czech Republic.
For the very first time international students explained about their choice to study in Bulgaria. Richard Sakazly from Ukraine, Irena Doychinov and Maria Ilievska in Political Science gave a short presentation.
The ESN organization also took part at the event. At the end of the ISD the international students with high marks were specially awarded by the organizers. This was the fourth year this significant event took place at the University of National and World Economy, Sofia.
