Lecture by Ambassador Zdravko Popov
On 19.11.2015y. in “Ceremonial Hall,, in UNWE was held a public lecture with Ambassador Zdravko Popov initiated by the Student Association for the Study of International Relations (IRRSA).
Assoc. Prof. Zdravko Popov is a professor at Sofia University and an expert on public diplomacy. He graduated from "Philosophy and Psychology" at Sofia University and has specialized in Italy, England and the USA. He was an adviser to President Zhelyu Zhelev and Founder and Director of the Diplomatic Institute at the Foreign Ministry. During the period from 2006 to 2010 was ambassador to the Czech Republic. Editor of the magazine. "Diplomacy".
The topic of the lecture was ,, The role of public diplomacy in foreign policy ''. Ambassador Popov presented the essence of public diplomacy highlighted its positive and negative traits as presented numerous examples of Bulgarian and European political elite.
At the end of the meeting students had the opportunity to ask questions to Mr. Popov and discuss issues they are interested in the topic.
