Simulation: “EU Enlargement Process Towards the Western Balkans”
The International relations research student association is organizing an one-day workshop on theme: “EU Enlargement Process Towards the Western Balkans”. The event will take place on 10 November in the building of Omega college (Cvetna gradina str. №1) with the support of the German foundation Konrad Adenauer and the Institute of social integration (ISI). It will be a part of the project “Get on board! Mobilizing young leaders to support the EU enlargement process towards the Western Balkans”.
There will be 30 participants who will take part in a simulation game. There will be two different steps in the expansion process: a) getting a statute of a candidate country, b) getting a full-fledged membership.
Through this event the participants can acquire more knowledge about the process of expanding of the EU, by becoming a part of it, playing a certain role (like being a member of the European commission, the European parliament, the council of EU and being a representative of a candidate country). Another thing that will happen is an introduction with the European institutions and their role in the process of expansion. The simulations has a purpose to create an opinion in the participants about a possible expansion of the EU in the Western Balkans.
To take part in the discussion, please, fill the application form until 4 November.
